Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to REUNI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the REUNI mobile application and services
("Platform").
REUNI is operated by REUNI LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom (Company Number: 16677912), with registered address at 56 Argosy Crescent, Eastleigh, England, SO50 5RW.
By creating an account or using REUNI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the
Platform.
2. Eligibility
To use REUNI, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a resident of the United Kingdom
- Have a valid email address
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
REUNI is designed primarily for university students and young adults attending events. We reserve the right to verify
your identity and eligibility at any time.
3. Account Registration
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or share your account with others. Creating
multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension.
4. How REUNI Works
REUNI is a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows users to buy and sell event tickets. We act as an intermediary to
facilitate transactions and provide buyer protection.
For Buyers:
- Browse available tickets listed by other users
- Purchase tickets securely through Stripe
- Receive tickets via transfer link or digital delivery
- Report issues within the specified timeframes for refund eligibility
For Sellers:
- List tickets you own for events you cannot attend
- Set prices within our pricing guidelines
- Transfer tickets to buyers promptly after sale
- Receive payment after successful completion
5. Fees and Pricing
REUNI charges a service tiered fee to buyers on each transaction:
- £0–£15: 15% + £2.49 booking fee
- £15–£35: 12% + £2.49 booking fee
- £35–£75: 10% + £2.49 booking fee
- £75+: 8% + £2.49 booking fee
Sellers receive the full listed price with no deductions from REUNI. Payment processing fees are included in the buyer service fee.
Pricing Rules for Sellers:
- Tickets may be listed at up to 200% of face value (2x maximum)
- Originally free tickets may be listed for up to £5
- Minimum listing price is £1
- Maximum 2 tickets per event more than 14 days away, 4 tickets within 14 days
Partnership Restrictions:
REUNI LTD maintains partnerships with event companies and club venues. For partnered events, additional restrictions may
apply:
- Specific price caps set by the venue or event promoter
- Time windows restricting when tickets can be listed
- Certain ticket types that cannot be resold
- Other conditions required by the partnership agreement
By using REUNI, you agree to comply with any partnership restrictions that apply to your ticket. These restrictions help
maintain our relationships with venues and ensure fair access to events for all users.
6. Payment and Escrow
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. REUNI holds funds in escrow to protect both buyers and sellers.
For Transfer Tickets (e.g., FIXR):
Funds are released to the seller after the buyer confirms receipt of the ticket, or after the confirmation period
expires without dispute.
For Barcode Tickets (e.g., Fatsoma):
Funds are released to the seller after the event date has passed, provided no dispute has been raised.
Sellers receive funds to their connected Stripe account, typically within 1-2 business days of release.
7. Buyer Protection
REUNI provides buyer protection for eligible purchases. You are covered if:
- Your ticket doesn't work at the door
- The ticket was already used by someone else
- You received the wrong ticket or event
- The ticket appears edited or tampered with
- Transfer link doesn't work (for transfer tickets)
- Ticket never arrived in your account
- The event was cancelled or postponed
You are NOT covered if:
- You arrived late and couldn't get in
- You changed your mind about attending
- You entered wrong details during transfer
- The event wasn't what you expected
- You lost your phone or deleted the ticket
Refund Timeframes:
- Report within 12 hours of the event: Full refund if claim is valid
- Report between 12-48 hours: May receive partial refund
- Report after 48 hours: Not eligible for refund
Evidence (photos, videos, screenshots) is recommended to strengthen your claim. REUNI may request additional information
during investigation.
Event tickets are exempt from the 14-day cooling off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Regulation
28(1)(h)), as they are for services related to leisure activities on a specific date.
8. Seller Responsibilities
By listing tickets on REUNI, you confirm that:
- You own the tickets and have the right to sell them
- The tickets are valid and have not been used or cancelled
- The tickets are transferable according to the event organiser's terms
- All listing information is accurate and complete
- You will transfer tickets promptly after sale
- Acknowledge that the original face value of your ticket will be displayed on your listing
- Disclose if you are a promoter, employee, or have any connection to the event organiser, venue, or ticketing platform,
as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Failure to transfer tickets or selling invalid tickets will result in refund to the buyer and may result in account
suspension or ban.
9. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Listing stolen, counterfeit, or fraudulent tickets
- Listing non-transferable tickets
- Price gouging or excessive markup beyond permitted limits
- Creating multiple accounts
- Circumventing fees or the escrow system
- Harassing or abusing other users
- Filing false disputes or reports
- Any activity that violates applicable laws
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of funds, and permanent ban from the
Platform.
10. Chargebacks
If you have an issue with a purchase, you must contact REUNI first through our in-app dispute process or by emailing
support@reuniapp.com.
Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting REUNI will result in permanent account suspension.
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. Our buyer protection ensures you can get refunds for
legitimate issues without needing to involve your bank.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
REUNI may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms. Actions are determined on a case-by-case basis:
For Sellers:
- Warnings for minor violations
- Temporary suspension of selling privileges
- Permanent ban from selling for serious violations
For Buyers:
- Warnings for minor violations
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent ban for fraud, abuse, or repeated violations
Users with excessive rejected disputes or suspected fraudulent activity may face account restrictions.
For non-fraud violations, we will provide 7 days written notice before account termination, allowing you to withdraw any
available funds.
12. Intellectual Property
The REUNI name, logo, and all related content are owned by REUNI LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. You
may not use our branding without written permission.
By uploading content to REUNI (such as ticket images), you grant us a licence to use that content for operating and
promoting the Platform.
13. Limitation of Liability
REUNI acts as an intermediary platform and does not guarantee the validity of tickets listed by users. While we provide
buyer protection and verification measures, we are not liable for:
- Actions of event organisers (cancellations, venue changes, etc.)
- Issues between buyers and sellers outside our platform
- Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our control
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount of fees you have paid to REUNI in the 12 months preceding any claim.
14. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with REUNI that cannot be resolved through our support team, we encourage mediation before
pursuing legal action.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of the
United Kingdom.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via
email.
Continued use of REUNI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with changes, you
should stop using the Platform.
